All very sad in more than one regard. And I've had the bubble wrap problem too. Except it was me that wrapped an natural finish amp in bubble wrap. It was two days off the gun but that wasn't enough. That amp ended up back in my possession thirteen years ago. It's my go to amp and I still haven't fixed the finish on it. But then an amp isn't as cosmetically important as a guitar for most people. I'm sure the guy with the black strat started kicking himself when collectability for those guitars went haywire.
