  • Parallel FX loop

    Hello all!

What would be the best way to implement a parallel FX loop in this amp?

    http://www.mia-amps.com/images/vht_special_6.png

I thought about breaking the connection between the "faked" tone stack and the volume pot, then going from there to a cathode follower. This will feed a "send level" pot to the send, the return (is a "return level" pot really needed? every FX unit have its own output volume...) would go to a tube mixer stage (a virtual ground design) to mix the return signal with another output from the cathode follower, and then the output of the mixer stage would be connected to the second triode in the original schematic.

I'm a little worried about the phase problem: what if the effect inverts the phase of the signal? The mixing back would be troublesome and would not give good results I think (but with delays and reverbs, would it really be a problem?).

Or it would be better to implement a "mix dry/wet" knob?

    Thanks in advance!
