I've been using 16mm PCB pots in my amps from a long time and was having issues with them - just try it and you'll notice several issues becoming evident in the mean time. Especially if every amp is different and you need to remove the whole board several times for tweaking. That's why wouldn't mind to get hands on such pots either.
