altec lansing sub amp
Hello everyone,
I'm new here and need some help with something and hope i
im in the correct area !! I just purchased a used Altec Lansing 4.1 surround
sound set up for my computer.
I plugged it in and there is no sound coming from the powered subwoofers.
It has two 8 in. woofers.There is sound coming from the 4 satellite speakers
which are plugged in to the back of the powered sub box.
The power indicator light on back of amplified woofer box is on and the
4 satellites are working so i know its getting power to it, a guy at the pawn
shop where i bought it checked it out and said there was power going in
but nothing coming out to the subs.
He said he thinks the sub amp output transformer is bad.
Can anyone please help me or steer me in the right direction or maybe
tell me where i can find this part if that is whats wrong. The system is rated
at 400 watts i believe. thanks, chris
