Suggestions for 30-40v power supply for micro tubes.

Hi, I am looking for suggestions on how to get a 40v B+ for experimenting with some micro tubes on a breadboard. Many thanks.

What other power sources do you already have? And 40v B+ is one thing, but will these tubes need heater voltage? Some micro tubes use 6v others like 1v or 3v, what do you need. Also will there be other things in the circuits needing power? Is this a hybrid? In other words is there maybe op amps as well as microtubes?

40v isn't hard, you can make a basic 40v supply by rectifying and filtering about 30vAC. We don't generally regulate B+ supplies, so I wouldn't worry about that. And does it need to be 40v dead on? It might be simpler to make it 42v or 36v or some such. Maybe that isn't an issue.

And just to ask, do you need 40v B+ or do you expect 40v on the plates of the tubes?
