Booty Que Heart-breaker overdrive problem!

I have heard about the Booty Que compressor for some time and found this pedal on ebay, everything looks ok inside, I put a 9v power supply on it and it powers up, but when you plug a cord into the input the led and power go out. any ideas or schematics. Who knows it might be a clone, I can only find the Booty Que website showing the compressor, waiting for the owner to message me back.
