    I haven't been able to figure out what this does

    but they want ~$42 for it

    The DC filter removes any DC from your audio cable.

            Damn that's some good looking parts, not sure on performance but I will have to pick up some items from here to test.
            I've been using parts from Digikey.ca as I am in Canada I get the parts next day, they carry most of what I need but are limited on the upper echelon of quality pieces although I have got some nice Nichicon caps from them.
