  • Hardware Synths vs. Software Synths

    Hello To All !
I am a previous Oberheim OB-8 owner. I had it for many years until it died on me & I sold it to a synth collector.
In the last years I have moved on to VSTi Virtual Instruments and have been quite pleased with their results. Except (of course) for VSTi's that were *supposed to be "Oberheim Clones" &/or have Oberheim-like sounds. They have all fallen short as a "good replacement" to my ears.
Recently I stumbled across one called the "OP-X PRO" that this seller on eBay has:
    http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/livemusic123
The ad claims it to be a clone of Oberheim OB-8 / OB-Xa / OB-X.
The Audio Demos sound awesome! But before I spend any money, I'm looking for anybody that has tried/used this particular VSTi ? Is it worth having ?
Thanks In Advance For Any Help!
    James

Why not download the free demo and try it out:

Buy it!! Do not sorry for your analogue OB all that bullshits about the software synths are just bullshits just not true. The software synths sound is much better because the analogue sounds to much ugly, rude and metallic. Because of that software synths sound warm, fat and even more warm and fat!
