  • The PLEK machine, Anyone tried it?

Well I was talking to a Gibson rep at the Dallas guitar show and he was telling me about this fairly new machine called the PLEK. It will take a strung guitar do computer measurements of the neck and then tell the tech to adjust the neck until its perfect. Then they jig the neck and the machine does a precise fret level and the guitar is supposed to play like a dream. The best fret level you could ever get. Precision to.004 level?
Anyway, I have read many forums on this since I heard about this machine but wanted to ask if any one has had their guitar PLEKED? If so, how does it play now?

I was real interested in this machine when I first heard of it. I've never seen one in person.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

Last december i got a '58 LP VOS RI which is Pleked. It's pretty sweet. Very consistent up and down, and across the neck, and it's very in tune. A great tech can get that result, but this was that way right off the GC showroom floor.

        I'm a believer.
