  • Wiring up those darned push-pull pots!

As I get older it has been getting harder to wire the switches up for a phase switch which has lots of connections between the 6 tiny terminals. Here's an idea... since the spacing and size of the terminals hasn't really changed why doesn't someone come out with a small pc board which you would solder to the 6 terminals and would have widely spaced copper pads for you to connect the wiring from your pickups and controls. Radio Shack has had boards like that for DIP ICs for at least 30 years. Hmmm, maybe I could adapt one of those boards to work with the P-P switches...

P.S. I usually use 24GA tinned bus wire to make the two crossovers for a phase switch but I could only find the 22GA stuff. If I knew that it was going to be such a bear I would have dug up some insulated 24GA solid core wire which is almost as good as the tinned bus wire which I've had for almost 30 years, adding colored and/or black heat shrink tubing when I need it to be insulated. I need to order more- the stuff I have came on small metal spools.
