I know there's a few pups out there that split well via mismatched coil winds.
I'm looking to de-wind coils on a HB set that's a bit over-wound for my tastes and I want to reduce volume drop some. I'd like to get an idea of what deference there is between coil resistance on these models.
I was considering 1k off per coil. This would leave me with 9k B and 7.6 N and still retain the Strat spec. coils of 5k and 4.3k.
I just don't know if 1k is about right?
