  • Polepiece screws - if you want 'em, get in NOW

I just placed an order for 20,000 5-40 Fillister head screws.
They're the same exact screw that Seymour is using on the Antiquity pickups, judging by a tiny toolmark on the head.
Comparing it to three vintage PAFs I have here, the heads are virtually identical...close enough that it makes no difference.

The material is 1022 steel, and they will be nickel plated.
These are the same screws I have been using.

I can add on to my order if anyone wants to, but it shuld be done quickly...today if possible...tomorrow maybe.
five or ten thousand peice minimum...no piddly shit! If I have to sell out of my own stock, 10 cents each.

    6 cents each.

Good picture installed in pickup... (with aged cover)

    last chance....

Anybody who passes this up is an idiot, you can't BUY these screws from any supplier and what you get from the suppliers is nothing like the real deal, trust me.....

      Great deal

but as usual it's near Christmas and I'm broke as a dog. I would love to get some later, even at 10 cents it a good deal for the simple reason they are good screws. Will get some later if Wolfe is interested in selling some.

        additional info on sources

        Greetings everyone,

This is my first post. I am also in the market to purchase a bulk quantity of polepieces and have done a little research that I would like to share.

I don’t know what source Wolfe uses, but here are some additional suppliers to consider if anyone is interested. There are many fastener manufacturers here in the US that can custom run the polepieces for you. However, none of the manufactures or distributors that I have spoken with have any samples laying around to send me because it’s an unusual screw to keep in stock…therefore its difficult to get samples to check quality.

Most vendors have a 25M minimum piece order. Some can offer them in fewer quantities.

I believe Seymour Duncan currently uses or has used North East Fasteners in the past for their polepiece screws.

Here are the specs that I provided.
5-40 Thread, .75 Inch length, Machine screw, Fillister head, Slotted, C1022 Steel, Nickel-plated, .205/.187 Head Diameter, .120/.100 Total head height

I have a few more quotes to get but I’m leaning towards Northeast Fasteners or Florida Screw Manufacturing. Unfortunately, as possum mentioned in another posting, without seeing samples, we’re at the mercy of the manufacturer and how much emphasis they place on quality. The condition of their tooling will also impact quality. I guess we just have to cross our fingers.

I got it. I'll call on Monday to see if we can add on, or if it'll have to be considered a seperate order at a less-pieces price.

Wish I would have known about this sooner (had given up on this Forum).

But on the outside chance it's not too late, I'm in for 1,500.
