Here's my take on it...........
Quality will shine through no matter what , and most people who buy handwounds ( well from me anyway ) are older or have been playing for years and know they cannot get what they want from a cheap as shite pickup, or even an expensive factory wound " name " brand so wouldn't be willing to waste their money in the first place , look at the big "custom" guitar makers , like your andersons , suhrs grosh's etc etc and so on and on ... they have an even better name due to being far and above better than the low priced knockoffs and there's plenty of those around , no matter what you make or sell there's always going to be someone who will undercut you or offer an inferior product , they come and go and some will no doubt stay , unfortunately it's something that is going to get worse and will have to be lived with....
