Trying to find out any info about this pickup. I have one coming that needs a rewind on one coil. The other coil, I told reads at 7 ohms and it has T tops on the coils. I havent seen the pickup yet but he thinks it might be a dirrty fingers. Any ideas any one. Thanks.

That sounds like a T top. Dirty Fingers have two rows of screw poles and read 16K, or 8K per coil.

    You mean 7K right?
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

They have 3 ceramic magnets underneath and the coils are wrapped in copper shielding foil, be sure you don't destroy that. I have a set I've been meaning to back engineer but haven't gotten to it yet. Poly wire but haven't mic'd it yet so dont know the gauge...

It sounds like a T top to me too but I asked if it had 2 sets of screw poles and he said yes. Im thinking he doesnt get what I was asking.

Well he went ahead and took apart the bad coil already and tryed to see if he can fix it him self. I told him to leave it alone until he has the ok from his wife to spend the money to have me fix it. I dont know if it has copper shielding or really what it might have. He said he'll email me pictures as soon as he can. I think when I see it, I'll be able to tell if its a DF or a T top.

            ....

I think the Dirty Fingers have a taller bobbin despite having a T on top. They're not the same as regular TTop bobbins...
