I use this stuff now and then. It's very good for making things like guitar knobs. You'd be wise not to even think about it for potting pickups.
I tried to use it to make formers for vacuum forming but it melts at such low temperatures as to make it useless.

StewMac sells the stuff to luthiers to make acoustic guitar brace cauls with.
I bought some, it's kinda fun to play with but DON'T microwave the stuff!
