Wow, Hoyt Poindexter pickups! He's even more obscure (and imaginary) than Sam Lee Guy!
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

I guess it as a play on the word Telecaster?

          I love the question:

Q: Is that an ash body?
A: NO..BUT IT SOON WILL BE...

[QUOTE [a legend in the telephone industry ]

Clever. Leo's wife worked for the telephone company and thats where the 3 way switches came from.
We use to have a fender round the front of the fire don't know what you called it in the States (made of brass) still he's got one on it.

Man I can remember burning electric bodies like that as a kid. We used to bring home hundreds of junk bodies and burn them in the fireplace in the living room. I can remember christmas's with my dad saying "throw another strat on the fire".

The worst part is the above is not a joke. Thats a bonafide memmory I have.

                  ...

If you think about it the old telephones basically had pickups in the ear pieces. I think Les Paul used telephone parts as pickups. They are a coil and magnets with a metal diaphram, I used to take those apart when I was a kid, they worked amazingly well.
