you might want to get a sample before you order a ton of it. I have a nice 20lb spool of 43 PE from Korea. You'd think Korean wire would be pretty good right? This stuff is so pooryly made any tension at all on the winder and the coil shorts out. I've heard the same thing about Chinese wire. All magnet wire is not created equal. Its really a shame that in the US only one company makes PE anymore. The other good companies quit making it because the process is environmentally dirty and guess they weren't selling enough of it to warrant cleaning up their act. The stuff still made is pretty good but not as good as the old Essex wire, which was consistenly made to one dimension, like 42 was almost always .0027" the current wire is more like .00265" You'd think a small change like that wouldn't matter but it sure as shit does....

The wire was $150 , plus $160 for the shipping , I can ship a guitar and case for less than that..

Yep, it's ridiculous, more than double the cost of the wire. I'm down here too and laughed when I received the shipping quote.
