Fender P and J wire

Does anybody know what kind of wire Fender used for their J and P bass pickups? PE? Formvar? I've seen different things all over the place. Unfortunately I cannot afford to buy and vintage pickups to test

Guess everybody is as much in the dark as I am. The pictures on ebay seem to have a color between Formvar and Poly...I assume it Formvar.

I've heard that it was mostly heavy formvar. Early P's might have been enamel but I don't know that for a fact.

Here is a pic of a 73 jazz bass pickup I had to rewind, and its apparent its PE. I did rewind an early 60's jazz bass pickup that was HF. I'm guessing it followed suite with strat pickups. I'm not certain about P bass pickups.
