If I wind a humbucker with AWG 44 wire (polyester coating), how many feet of wire would it take if I wanted 12k Ohms DCR?

I once unwrapped a 12k pickup made of 44 AWG & laid the wire carefully by a long road - I paced it out at approximately 4527.13ft.
You might not have access to a long road, so perhaps a more scientific way is .....the spec for 44 AWG (ie 0.05mm diameter) that my supplier sells is 8.70 ohm/mtr (@20C)
12,000 ohms divided by 8.7 = 1379.3103448275862068965517241379 metres
Which converted to feet is ....
4525.24137931
It looks like my manual 'roadside' calculation was pretty close.

That's more than 3/4 of a mile!It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein
