  • So what's the concencus on StewMac Pickup Parts?

I've made the Strat and Tele sets before which sound pretty good but I was wondering if you have had the same or different experience. Are their kits good or are there better suppliers?

Flatwork is okay, I get my magnets elsewhere. Cream colored parts (humbucker bobbins, P90 and Strat covers) look awful.

The side of the flange of humbucker bobbins has a dimple or wrinkle in it that's weird and like most other bobbin makers you have to ream the screw bobbins a bit for an easier fit (depending on how thick the nickel coat is on your screws or the tolerance of the mfr) and the slug bobbins are a bit tight for my tastes. Long leg baseplates fine.

To make it short, I like some of their stuff, not all. Same with all the other part vendors.
