Okay, so i'm thinking of working on a strange expierimental project, and want to build my first pickup with this since it seems like it would be the simplest pickup.
I'd like to find a good in depth tutorial thats well put together and easy to understand, to build a bass pickup.
My variation on this though is I only need the pickup to pick up one string.
Gonna make an Electric washtub bass type thing, with a long neck with a single thick string with a bridge, and just below the bridge i will have a hinge that has limited movement so not to make it fold in half or move too far back and break the string.
It will be played fretless, slapping the string with a drumstick and bending the neck at the hinge
