    Hi All

    I had a good look at the pic. I posted which I got from the telcaster forum and looks to me like the polepieces are steel and you can just see the shadow of the ceramic bar magnet underneath. It could be from a fender bullet

    Yeah, I took another look at that, and you can see where there was a ceramic magnet stuck on the bottom, and I can see bullseyes on the poles too. That also looks like paint.

    This one doesn't look like that.


    I'd say the pickup in that first photo is a poor attempt at a forgery.

      Now that one really looks like red laquer over white forbon.

      I got lot'sa laquer, where can I get some white forbon?

      Hmm, I might do some experimenting on that just for kix.
