Immersion don't seem to be working. I'm trying the fumes. I poured a little (1") in a plastic container with holes punched into the top an put the pieces on top, and wraped in a plastic bag? We'll see

options/ better covers maybe
Well, the Muratic seems to pick and choose what it likes to tarnish. I have put brand new covers in 100% Acid, and it does'nt tarnish the Nickle, but when I put the cover on the top of the lid, it seems to go super slow. 3rd day in on the fumes, and just some crystaline spots, and still shiny.
I used ferric acid and that shit ate of everything in 5 minutes. Down to the nickle. I did notice that there is a small layer of a form of primer? on the guitar jones covers too. Looks brass? It ate that too.
Is there something Im missing with the muratic? I have tryed screws with fumes and slugs that seem to work. The other methid is really fast. I really was'nt trying to take everything off, just trying to dull the finish about 70% and scrach it up a bit? Any Ideas?Comment
