I was thinking about building a single coil soundhole pickup for my acoustic guitar; my idea is to use a few alnico rods i have spare, is there anyone who has already experienced such a construction or could just advice the specs (number of coils, wire type, etc..)?

Do you want it to sound like an acoustic guitar? Keep the winds on the low side.It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein
