"Price breaks for 42&43 magnet wire wouldn't come until you bought 30-50
lbs. You can expect pricing to go down 2.00$-4.00$ per lb depending on
    the insulation type."
I hope this is wrong & you are correct Terry

I thought they were giving me the High prices.
They seem to try to get all they can.

PAF-Boy, don't bother with Jim and Wirenetics. They are who I used to buy the AWC wire from, labled "Pure Tone" wire... I think I still have one of the old labels.
Almost EVERY spool I got from Wirenetics was junk. I mean unwindable junk, dried out insulation that drug through tensioners badly,. and would hop and skip around while goign onto the bobbin. HORRIBLY inconsistent.
Wirenetics offered no help, no returns, no solutions.

That is the reason I stopped using AWC wire long ago.

Wirenetics used to send me the weirdest wire, it was almost always oversized no matter what type it was. Then I bought a micrometer and discovered my 43 gauge wire measured as fast as heavy build 42, I quit buying.

David Shepherd spoiled us all, you're not going to see that level of customer service there again. David was a self starter and had been self employed for a long time, so he had those ethics of getting things done and staying on top of it all. He is back running his own luthier shop and doing well at it. I don't blame him for leaving, once you work for yourself for a long time its real hard to fit into a slow moving system based on time clocks, I had the same experience and always hated working for others, no security in it thats for sure....
