Don't know where to get those.
Mojo sells 53mm covers and bobbins.
If you wind your pickups on their bobbins, you could use their Covers.

Not looking to make pickups, but rather cover some 90's Bill Lawrence 460s

      Thanks, Ed R.

Haven't seen any that size, you may have to buy them from Bill Lawrence.

          Terry, thanks for the replies.

Bought the pu's new from Bill-n-Becky, covers were never an option from them.

Yes, I could use a solid plastic or metal cover,
but I really don't want the "EMG" or "Iommi" look.

          Just want the classic look.

          Thanks, Ed R.

I Know you are looking for an exact fit, but You may not find one with those exact dimensions.
I've filed the cover Holes out a bit, if it is real close.
Unless you examine up close an personal, you would never know it.
You would still get the vintage cover look and feel.
Maybe someone else has some Ideas, I'm out!

Parts Planet's covers are 52mm, but they sound like ass.

Drill press bit with stepped diameters - lets you easily and cleanly enlarge existing/pilot holes.

                      update......

                      Used Terry's suggestion.
Took the cover off a Gibson HBL (NG printed circuit board pu, with both coils open).
Spacing is 2.062. Used a fine round file and filed the spacing closer until I got a pretty nice fit.
                      But......
much to my surprise the cover is actually brass, and after filling, re-radius the holes, and touch-up buff, the brass is obvious.....sigh and yuck.....

                      New question,

Does anyone have a source for 2 1/16 - 53mm nickel-silver covers that they know are not made of brass, not copper plated, not chrome plated ?

                      Thanks, Ed R.

                        That is a uni-bit possum.

Mojo has it in a Nickel plate, or Chrome or bare.
I have used a lot of the Mojo Nickel plate covers.
                          Mojo's have no brass.

Oh ok, I have one of those I use to enlarge pot holes on offshore guitars. Never tried it on bucker covers. I wonder if if it would help in drilling clean holes in undrilled covers, the problem I have is drilling them leaves a raised edge around the hole, will give it a try....

A little hit with this will take car of the raised edges:

Or drill from the top with a block of wood inside to support the cover.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein
