To rewind or not?

    Ok I think I will leave this one alone until I've had some practice, I think If I did rewind it I would want to use matching PE wire so it would still be a sett off 3.

    I just seen how cheap the magnets and flat work are at at Addiction-fx and now they ship to uk again so tempted to just start from scratch with new materials an se how close I can get to the CS69's

      I do a few rewinds for a local vintage shop.
      I Only do Rewinds on old vintage Pickups.
      Usually the shop owner wants the old flatwork that has the old Date stamp on the bottom.
      I charge as much for those, as I do for a new pickup.
      The reason, is New Flatwork is straight and all the parts fit well.
      Usually the flatwork on Rewinds is deformed, warped and takes a lot more time to rewind.
      So I agree with you, if you can get by without rewinding, just start from scratch.
      Build a New pickup with New straight Parts.
