Heads up Mojotone braided cloth wire

I received an order maybe a week and a half ago and just sat down to use it.

Mojotone 22-Ga Shielded External Braid Cloth Covered Wire

What I received looks normal from the outside, but has white vinyl covered wire on the inside. I am not too happy as I now have to scrounge to get this guys pickup done. I will call Monday and see what the deal is. But for now, I would avoid ordering any from them if you want the cloth covered wire inside.

I'm very low and cloth wire was going to order some from M.T. on Monday.
Mojo is out of stock on a lot of parts lately. I needed P-90 parts last week and wound up getting them from stew mac.

I much prefer the stuff with the vinyl on the inside for amp work but I guess it's a no-go for pickups.

Does the wire from Triode electronics or wattstubeaudio.com work for you pickup guys?

There are a bunch of other sources for it, some even a little cheaper. But if I am ordering bobbins and other things, it is easier just to have some sent with the order. Once in a while I will go all out and buy a large quantity on purpose. But usually I tend to just pickup 10-20 feet a time when I order other things.

Jim, our apologies for the problem. I can assure you that our braided shield has a black cloth center conductor with a celanese under layment just like original Gibson material. . Please contact us Monday morning to determine what you received and we will send a replacement if you have the wrong product.

Thanks Tom! Had it been during the week I would have called and squared it away first. This happened over the weekend when I know a few guys may have sat down and ordered things like this. I didn't know if you guys even knew the material was wrong, so I wanted to give guys a heads up and hold off on ordering until the issue was resolved. Now it is, so order away guys.
