For background, I looked up the Zexcoil patent, US 7,989,690. The front is mostly legal boilerplate, trying to cover every possible variation, but there is lots of technical detail and rationale in the patent.

IIRC, there's nothing in there that is particularly relevant to this capacitance effect.

Sounds like you might need to print up some P.A.F. stickers, Scott. I suggest gold ink on a dark background with greenish edges. Then save back a few hundred pickups and start pricing Ferraris.

Those would have to be patent number stickers, the patents have already issued.

Hard to say, whenever the process is completed. I'm writing it up and will publish a technical article when the application issues. I may try to submit it to an IEEE journal or maybe the Journal of the AES.
