Opinion on Plain enamel ?

Hello Folks here at the Pickupmaker forum.
In the past I had bought PE from MWS, Mojo, Wirenetics and BEA.
In my first order from MWS both spools had a REA sticker on the bottom, the wire was great and I enjoyed the winding with it.
No problems there.
My 2nd order from MWS the wire looked a bit different and there were stickers from Electrisola on the spools.
This wire worked fine ,too.

The PE from BEA on ebay came out as Electrisola wire and looked purple and acted like a modern solderable poly wire.
Mojo and wirenetics seem to sell the American Wire comp. stuff that I got from BEA too.
This PE is well known for the problems you may get.

I got a quote from MWS today price is 32.25 per LB and I think I will go for an order.
Can you guys tell me wich wire I will get, do you know there actual quality?

thanks for those detailed info.
Wich wired would you perfer and what is the stuff that Remington sells.

Doing a lot of rewinds on Strat pickups I am still searchin for a wire that is closer to that late 60ties PE in dia and colour.
Doya mean Remington is the deal or are they just another suplier.

I think they are all just suppliers.
Remington gets all of there wire, I think from Elektrisola in Indiana.
I mainly just use HPN, and SPN for all my new stuff.
I like the 42 HPN for single coils.
All the wires lately seem to be small per gauge.
Monday, start calling and emailing them and see what you get.
