I came across this innovative company in my internet travels
it seems the owner of this company was the original designer for the famed Aria SB basses in the early 80's
his bass pickup designs look very interesting, somewhat like a wal pickup except every pickup is mounted individually into the body, and its two pole design allows for change of sound by rotating the pickup.
here is the link, lovely looking intruments, and some even strange looking, but nonetheless, here is man who seems to be pushing the envelope when it come to innovative designs
