  • Mojotone New NEW Coil Winder

I'm in the market for a new winder and had seen rumors of a Mojotone winder with a faster motor in the works. So I emailed them and they replied with this:

"Hello, thank you for your inquiry into our Mojotone pickup winder. We are developing a faster winder with complete program ability as we speak. However, these initial run units will be introduced mid to late Feb. and will initially only be available through Stewart-MacDonald. Hope this helps."

Nothing abour price. Maybe a state side competition to the UK CNCDudez winder? Likely not, but will be interesting to see what comes.

In the meantime I still need a new winder...

I wonder why they will market it through StewMac?
I bought the regular mojo winder last spring, and it does a great job.
    It tops out at 1200rpm.
You can wind a strat coil in 6 or 7 minutes.

Hey thought I'd chime in. So here's the deal. We are releasing version 2 of our winder at NAMM this week and it will have a faster and quieter motor, and 10 programable and savable banks. The price will remain the same as it is now. The first run of these new machines will be going to Stewmac and available through them sometime in February. Terry, if anyone asks, we will offer an upgrade to the new software and motor for any of the first version machines. The cost will be $75 plus shipping and we will swap out everything to be version 2. I hope this helps.

So the speed will be the same, correct?
Mine is not that noisy, about like other tools.

Hi Terry, the new motor will run approx 1800 rpms compared to the current one at 1200 rpms. Its the same motor, just geared to run faster which consequently makes it quieter.
