Need some help with a problem

I just got finish winding up some Strat coils and I soldered them up and the first two worked great and the third didnt. Well than I noticed that I had burnt the wire off at the starting eyelet. What should I do? Should I just start over, I tried soldering more wire on the piece sticking out but I'm not sure on how to do that. Does anybody know what I need to do to solder the wire together.

You could fuse it together, but if it is for a customer, appearence is important so just wind it again.

Appearance is important -- but trust me, splicing the wire on the start of the coil is such a hassle that it's easier to just wind the bleepin' thing all over again anyway.

I learned this off an old DeArmond pickup. Get some copper foil tape, the stain glass guys use this stuff. Cut off a little piece and then put a solder blob on it, then stick it up the broken end and solder the broken end to it, then run some wire through the eyelet and lay the lead off that over the solder and heat it up so both ends get buried in solder. the tape sticky side holds the copper foil to the pickup, heating it might make it some loose a little, or tape from the underside and wrap over the top. Its ugly but it works and not for customer uses on a commercial product. You could put fabric tape over the joint to make it look better. I"ve done this for customers who've busted the magnet wire leads on tele bridge pickups, they bust it its their problem, pay for a rewind or a fix like this with fabric tape over it for cosmetic look, they always go for the free fix. I tape over my tele bridge leads because they are the ones most often broken in installation, yet there's always some heavy handed guys who cut through the tape and bust it.
