    Skinny Wire...

You want to sell me a couple of those covers to take a look at? Would like to see if they are so bad customers would reject them.

After looking them over again, some aren't that bad but some are pretty noticeable. It's very difficult to capture in a picture, but this dark image shows the marks (quarter circles on the corners).

From some angles they look fine and there's a chance some elbow grease could get them in good shape. You can see there are some dings and scratches to be dealt with. That's pretty much on all of them.

        Looks okay from this angle.

          still interested...

if you want to sell me some of them let me know...
I finally heard from Pat, he says he's having issues with the humbucker cover manufacturers and has none in stock, AllParts is out too. Am I wrong or didn't this happen last year too, everyone being out of them? I have a stash enough to get through, but if anyone knows of other suppliers would be nice. Guitar USA has covers but not sure what they are made of yet, plus they are thinner and my stewmac bobbins different pole spacing dimples the metal if I force them through. maybe try drilling the holes sightly bigger.....

I have some Seymour Duncan Seth Lover covers with those exact same quarter circle marks in the corners.
They don't make them like they used to... We do.™

I have those same un-plated covers from GJ. The first thing I thought was "Cool, instant aging!"

I talked to him twice last week. I was able to get some P90 covers from him within 2 days but the mini-hum parts I ordered a few months ago haven't arrived. Also waiting for some mini-hum parts from Allparts. Talked to both Pat and Allparts and both say they're waiting for them to ship out of Japan, so at least for the parts I'm waiting for, it's not about Pat or GJ. They said it as something to do with Homeland Security holding up shipments sometimes.

I experienced problem when I ordered from him. I couldnīt finish the checkput procedure. Called him and no problemo, package on the way...
It seems that people outside US must place order on phone or by mail.

All Duncan covers I've encountered have those markings to some degree.
