    The only way to shield magnetic effects that I know of is with Mu-metal, which is really expensive. You can't get there with just copper...

      Yeah, I just learned from an amp tech that the copper pads on PT's is for heat dissipation.

      But we know that copper shields RF - that's why it's used in guitar cavities.

        Yeah, copper will shield against RF if done right, but it doesn't have any effect on magnetic fields as far as shielding, which is what I was pointing out.

              When charging alnico with the Stew Mac instructions and neo magnets it's important to use a metal vice to complete the magnetic circuit. You'll get better results than just suspending the two magnets in free space via wood or whatever.
