pickups too weak

My latest start style pickups are very weak in comparison to a cheap set.
They are Alnico 5 round bar wound to 7 k.

Could the magnets be weak or ??
If so can I increase the magnetic power of them.

What are you calling round bar? i assume you're referring to alnico rod magnets. In any case, at 7 K they should be cooking. You should invest in a gauss meter so you can gauge the strength of the magnets. You can recharge weak magnets with neo mags. you can get these from steven Kirsting.

Do they sound thick but with low output or do they sound thin with low output? My first guess would be magnet strength, but it's possible they have shorts in them. (Not bloody likely if they all have the same thing going on but you never know...)
