I had to replace the braided steel leads on two Wolftone humbuckers because someone had cut them too short and made it difficult to install in their LP. I just had to say I’ve never seen such a clean build for a humbucker. Beautiful attention to detail. Double maple spacers, one beveled one square. Perfectly cut and sanded. Wires tucked in and taped cleanly. Bobbins taped perfectly. Magnet polarity marked clearly with a sharp blue line. Stuff most people will never see, but compliments sir on building with a high level of integrity. Very inspiring!

Are you sure about the steel?

I've only seen tinned copper braids so far.

Steel might give rise to microphonics.

I think the op means the nickel colour(steel) braided standard humbucker wire.
        Cheers

Yes, that's what I mean too.
