    Hello,
Would anyone know the average Gauss reading for a standard Fender single coil pickup?

I saved this from a post a while back.
    It's just magnets in general.
Here's a few standard readings taken right at the end of the magnet
    A2 - 578
    A3 - 500
    A4 - 700
    A5 - 680
    A5 ISO - 687
    A6 - 724
    A8 - 1456
    A9 - 1620
    Ceramic 8 - 1400
PAF Magnet original charge - 460
PAF Magnet Full Charge – 660

I know this is an old thread but I'm a new member.

The readings I've taken of sets of vintage (1960 and 1964) Strat pickups were mostly all between 630 and 710 gauss measured at the flat end of the magnet.

I have more data of older Strat pickups logged but not readily available at the moment

The readings T posted are for bar magnets ,Not rod magnets like in a strat ,which fully charged are over 1000 gauss
Anyway thanks for posting your results
