    Ha!

I built a nice wiring harness and I put a 14K PE rev Zebra in the bridge position and a double black 8K PE in the neck slot. I played around with different screws for the neck pickup and settled on 12L14's (ebg&d strings) and1018's (a&E strings) and it sounds freakin fantastic.
The guitar plays really nice and it's a very comfortable design, looks cool too.

I need to get a set of locking tuners and a TOM bridge. It's got a wider spaced bridge than my '72 Les Paul. I'd like to get a tone Pros but I need to find out if they make a Nashville style in the wider spacing.

I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them up!

Been lots of talk about base plates used.
Just curious who's base plate your using.
I still have some of the Guitar Parts USA plates left.
I like those, but not a replica plate.
Not to beat a dead horse, but I tried the ADFX long leg plates, and didn't care for them.
Going to order one of the mojo Long Leg PAF Plates on the next order and see if tonally, I like those.
They have a great price on those.

        • Hey T! I just finished winding a Strat set. Customer wanted high output HF.

Took me over 3 hours. Way too much wire to wind fast.
Filled the bridge bobbin till there was barely enough room for a cover. 9,100 winds, 7.3k DCR & 3.35H

To answer your above question about the base plates I've been using All Parts for long legs and Mojo for short legs.

Sounds like you have been busy.
That is a lot of wire for a Single Coil.
I see why we call you Stratz.
That would have took me a week.

Yeah, it is for double build without getting bobbin flare.
I've put over well 10,000 winds of #42 single build on a Strat bobbin many times.
I don't much care to wind high output heavy Formvar Strat pickups but I love the sound.

I'm sticking with the Mojo plates that I been using for a while
I posted the thread about Addiction-fx plates cause I had a order from them being processed & I was going to order some & I was not informed that Tom@mojo had the problem with the vintage plates resolved
                  It's all good now

I have that new Red 42SPN, and it is small.
It should work good on a Tele neck.
I will have to give that a try.
I bought a Rondo B Stock Strat, and a strat neck yesterday.
Too Cheap to let get away!
I sold my red test guitar, and needed something to test my Righty Pick Guards on.
If someone wants it more than me, I will sell it too.

                    • A friend from Little Rock, brought me a couple of guitars to work on today.
I sold a blade Pick Guard that I've had for a little while.
                      This one is gone.

Slick Willy, Plays the Saxophone, and Cigars!
                          Don't think he plays Guitar.
No I am already making more.
I had 4 loaded Pick Guards.
3 with single coils, and the one in the picture with blades.
I told him he couldn't buy it, it was not for sale!
He had to have it. lol
I'm thinking of becoming a psychologist!
I'm now dealing with a different Guitar shop.
Not a Vintage Shop, and they sell more modern type guitars and P/Us.
He also wants to buy my Clone 2204 Amp.
I told him it wasn't for sale either.
He plays a Blues Junior, and a Peavy Classic 50.
He said he Likes my amp cause it has more Balls!

                          • I have a JCM 800 2204 and that thing is LOUD!
                            I also have a '73 JMP MK-II 50w and there's no comparison volume wise.

Maybe the B+ voltage is part of the reason The JMP MK-II is about 360VAC and the 2204 is closer to 480VAC
The JMP has much less headroom as well.
I converted both from 6550's to EL34's and they sound great but quite different. Great amps!

I think your right, about the B+ making them loud.
Mine is 492 on the Plates, and 486v at the Screens.
I plan on dropping my next one to around 450v.
I have real high 120V Line.
It runs 127V, most of the time.
Looks like I get to make another one.
I think I'm going to make it around 6L6s, instead of the EL34s.
I've got to get to making more blades.
I hate Building them, but I like Selling them!

Wow my plexi is only about 350v on the b+ which is high ..what a jolt you would get
