    • I started the flatwork on 2 more sets of the '65 strat pickups. I ship a reproduction .1uF "red dime" cap with each set, and I was getting kind of low so I mainly worked on those. I cleaned off, re-symbolized, and tested 45 of them today, I am still putting them in their packages.

I use Audacity for editing sound clips for my website, mostly because it works well enough and I am too cheap to buy anything else. I have the MXL 990 and 991 mics and an old Akai condenser mic. I like the 991, but I need to spend a lot of time working on my recording setup. My customer that made the clips on the '65 has a lot of mics, said he tried a SM57 and a MXL991 and it was mostly a tie. Some of the clips were done with one and some with the other. Placement is a lot of it.

Speaking of being an optimist, I broke down and dipped into my savings a couple of days ago and ordered up a bunch of magnets for the '65s from Allstar. We will have to see how that goes.
