New Pickup Parts they are going to offer for us!
It looks like they finally got most of the HB parts in that were out of stock for a while.
Still cant buy a butyrate bobbin. I see that they're out of humbucker mounting screws.
I've been waiting close to two weeks now for my last order to show up. I had some humbucker mounting screws in the order, I hope they aren't holding up the order for the screws.

From experiences with Mojo & orders in the past ,I've had trouble detecting if something is backorder & before I know it my order has arrived & I'm missing parts .
So In the Instructions box when doing an order I always add "contact me if an item is back ordered"

That's a good idea. Sometimes Mojo has called me about backorders without me specifically asking them to. Allparts is pretty good about doing that too. Just about every place I use has more backorders than I would expect.

Didn't work much on pickups today, just a few odds and ends.

        • Tonight I pulled the chassis on my JCM800 and cleaned the pots and tube sockets. I also had a lot of paperwork to do.

          • It is pretty quiet around here tonight. One thing I did do today was post some clips of the '65 strat pickups to my shop's facebook page. The customer had sent me over a dozen but I picked four and put them up on soundcloud so I could link to them from facebook. They won't let you put up the MP3's directly anymore.

Update: 9/16/12 I put more of the demo files on my website today. here.

Got to be up early in the morning so good night all.

            • Worked this afternoon on a 72 Telecaster.
Customer wanted a 1 meg Ohm Tone Pot in place of the 250 Ohm.
Customer installed a Strat Pickup in a Dobro.
              The Vol. Pot never worked.
I ripped it out and rewired it all.
I have a pair of Tele Pickups to build for the Same Customer.

              • Worked on my website again today, no pickups made. Took me all day to add 11 items to the store. That's counting doing the photos and writeups and counting inventory, but it still seems like a lot of time. Each item averaged out to almost an hour spent.

                • JCM 800 problems

Well, I was having a good night until.....

Terry, you know the JCM 800 pretty well, yes?

My JCM 800 2204 (I converted it from 6550 to EL34 years ago) suddenly started to sound "fizzy" with low output. I swapped all tubes with known working tubes but still no go.

The strange thing is that if I hit a chord on the guitar and turn off the main power switch the volume comes right up and it sounds just like normal for a second or two before it shuts down.

Any ideas? Could it be the output transformer? Do you know how to test the OT on a 2204?

                  Thanks.

If it is an older Amp, I think yours is an original, and not a clone like mine?

                        Sounds good.
I'm kicked back in the Barcalounger!
Do you use a drive pedal with the 18Watt?
What I heard sounded pretty hot.
IMO nothing like that hot Marshall Crunch!

                        • No just the amp & of the treble, middle, bass or TMB channel .it has more gain with it cascaded in the other channel

                              • Hi Sonny:
                                You been staying busy today?
No work on guitars, but I did play it some.
My amp in the shop was making a terrible racket yesterday.
I guess just the tubes not making good.
A hot and Cold Shop is not a good envirnment for a tube Amp.

** I played my LP with Buckers.
I forgot how good they sound.
I've been messing with the SCs too much lately.
