I just wanted to add to say that I've used Brocotts wire a bunch of times and have been very happy with the overall sound. I've not used the double build but I think I will try some next time. Brocott are the only UK based wire supplier that I have found that have gauges for pickups. When you solder the pickup wire to eyelets or jumpers, you need to hold the iron on there for a few seconds longer than you think, you have to heat it to a certain temperature in order to break through the insulation. I've had pickups read dead that just needed a bit more heat to fix. That's always the first thing I check these days if I don't get a reading.
