A rule of thumb and a simplified explanation of turns per bobbin of a Single Coil, Split Coil Humbucker vs 2 coil conventional Humbucker.
A single coil pickup, and split coil humbucker as a rule has more turns per bobbin than a coil does on a 2 bobbin humbucker pickup.
The simple reason is on a Single coil or split coil bucker, there is only one sensing magnet and coil per string.
A humbucker has 2 sensing coils per string, and are wired in series.
That is why a PAF bobbin has 5000 turns per coil, and a P-bass bobbin has 10,000 turns per coil.
The PAF is 2x5000 turns, wired in series, and has two sensing magnet areas per string, producing a loud strong pickup.
The PAF also in series cancels some of the highs.
A P-bass type pickup is also a humbucker, but only has one coil, and one sensing magnet per string, so it can be wound up to 10,000 turns.
The Split P type humbucker as a rule with only one coil and magnet per string is brighter than a 2 coil per string humbucker pickup.
Hope this clarifies some of the turns per coil, Single coil, split coil humbucker vs 2 coil Humbucker.
    Thanks,
    T
