Sorry it has taken such a long time to post results. Here are some photos of progress up to this point. One thing led to another and it just seemed to go on and on. I had to modify the pickup cavities, install some T nuts to mount the bridge pickup, fabricate a new pick guard, rewire the 5 way switch to accommodate using two single coils to get the same options as the humbucker that was installed.
I still have to work on pickup height and what capacitor to use to dial in the sound. The sound is amazing. It sounds as smooth as a humbucker, I am sure I can get a little more edge by changing the capacitor from .1 to .022. I also dulled the finish.
I do not know how to post sound clips. If I cannot find a way to do that I may have to ask someone to accept a cassette tape to post the results.
