  • Where I can find some good quality magnet rods?

Hi I'm a beginner with silly questions.
All the magnet rods I can find on Ebay are made in China, they are poor at consistency and coercive force.
I brought 6 pics China made alnico 5,the flux of lowest one is only 800Gs,the highest one is 1300GS.
So I think may be I need some high quality magnet rods just like made in USA or Japan.
May I ask Does anyone knows how to buy some good alnico magnets for pups?

    Hi and welcome.
Most magnets most of us use are made in china.
I use and like the Chinese made magnets, I get from Shea at Magnetic Hold.

All the info is on the spread sheet.
AddictionFX sells some different Chinese magnets.

You can also buy magnets from Mojo.

    Also Tone-Kraft

As far as I know they are all made in China.

Thank you teee.As far as I know Japanese build the best alnicos, but it's hard to find.
Sounds like some kind of black humor, I live in China but it's very difficult to buy pickup magnet rods here. All exports to western countrys.
I had to pay a very high price to buy some China made magnets on ebay and Ship back to China.
Maybe they suffer a lot of shocks so magnetic field became weak.

The variation you've seen's most probably due to a less-than-ideal inital charge.

If you don't have a zap-charger to fully-charge'em yourself, you'll find those variations no matter where you live or where the mags come from.

        Try Tone-kraft.com or mojotone,com and ask'em specifically to fully-zap-charge'em. They'll oblige!

The NEOs work great charging Rod magnets.
Charging Bar magnets consistently across the whole edge of a bar magnet with NEOs is tricky.
