A little while ago I did a CAD design for my second iteration pickup winder. This version calls for a laser cut case and proper motor rather than the old sewing machine on my first winder.
Anyway, I went to a local makerspace to use their laser cutter today. I cut out my parts and had to throw them together right away because I was too excited to wait.
It was my first time laser cutting, so some adjustments need to be made. Hopefully, the next round of lasering will be even better. Once everything is sorted out I will release the design files in case anybody else wants to make one too.
Oh, and it smells like a campfire, so that's pretty cool.
