Mesa Rectoverb 50 Reverb tank

After much thought & some tests I've decided to leave J175 alone for now, as it seems to have some effect. We shall see.
Meanwhile waiting for parts, I've clipped out the 5532. Actually cut it out with a knife, as my smallest cutters won't fit.
Now to try & get the pins out without messing up any traces, always makes me nervous, I'm a lot more confident with the old stuff...
Any trade secrets?

Well, that didn't work out well.
Put a socket & new 5532 in - no joy. Tried snipping one leg of J175 - still no joy...

Looking at traces on the board surrounding the 5532 I can only see 4 connections but the schematic shows more ??
