Have not seen one of these units in a while, but found a bad R65L "wafer" resistor 10w 1.5k (4 are bunched in a cube shape on the M1049 voltage amp board) that was bad creating DC offset of about 4v.
When I went to replace the resistor, looked as if the film conductive area just fractured from the pin junction. I resoldered it and it seemed to restore that part conductivity and back to the 1.5K ohm, but I replaced the part anyway.
