    It is a piece of lab gear, an oscillator. Mine is 1000Hz.

    I was looking for information on it, and trying to figure its value

    This was my main test tone 50 years ago in my little basement shop.

    It is a tube driven tuning fork based oscillator. It runs on 120v mains, but also can be connected to batteries for when you need it at, oh, the beach.

    Well fooo, they are selling them for under $30.
    Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
