I took in an HH Scott Exeter console stereo for repair with one channel inop.
It had a blown ECL82/ 6BM8 tube in it.
What a cool design.
The 6BM8 is used as a driver.
It is transformer coupled to two PNP Germanium transistors to achieve 22 watts into an 8 ohm load.
(I kind of remember RG talking about this.)
